Ingredients
Steps
Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium high heat.
While the skillet heats up, season the chicken thighs generously on both sides with salt and pepper.
Add the chicken thighs to the dry skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan, and cook undisturbed until they are white around the edges and no longer stick to the pan.
11 minFlip the chicken once it releases easily from the pan and cook on the other side.
6 minLower the pan heat to medium low, add 1/4 cup chicken broth to deglaze, scraping up browned bits, then add another 1/4 cup to cover the bottom of the pan in a thin layer.
Allow the sauce to reduce to a thin, sticky glaze, tossing the chicken in the sauce as it reduces.
4 minRemove the chicken from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
5 minSlice the chicken thighs and serve with the pan drippings.
